Andy Moss

Where are you born and when?

Czech Republic, 1963

Where do you live?

Czech Republic, Europe

When and how do you start your path in photography?

I started my interest in photography since I met with my future wife, and to be honest she is my muse and model whole my life. We started with very cheap old analog camera and spent too much time in dark room, when we were young. Then we discontinued taking photos, when children and other familiar obligations came. Finally we returned to our greatest hobby intensively last four years, when we started lessons in photography school in our city.

Who were the three photographers that inspired you at the beginning and who are the three ones that inspire you now?
Please add links to the pages where the images are shown.

At the beginning:
Taras Kuscynkyj https://arthur.io/art/taras-kuscynskyj
Tono Stano https://www.mutualart.com/Artist/Tono-Stano/CFE57F37D6E2FD3F/Artworks
Jan Saudek https://www.saudekgallery.com/index.php
Now: - too many great photographers, but let us name:
Norman Tacchi http://www.normantacchi.it/
Dirk Bee https://dirkbee-fotografie.com/
Adolf Zika http://www.zika.cz/pages/en/photography.aspx

Did you go to a school or are you a self-taught?

Self-taught mainly: lots of practice and hobby photography art school

Do you make photography as a living?

Photography is my greatest hobby and I would like to keep it as it is.

What do you like in photography, what is your motivation?

What I like most about photography is the active rest from ordinary worries and also the fact that one suddenly sees ordinary things differently - from a different point of view.

What do you want to express or arouse in those who watch your images?

By taking photos, I try to tell an emotional story. In recent days, I have been thinking about the dramatic expression of the eternal battle of good and evil. Create such dramatic images on the edge ...

What are your preferred moment(s) in the creation process?

Everything - from inventing, playing to implementation.

What are your three most representative images, and why?
Please add links to the pages where the images are shown.

This is not an easy question, because I probably haven’t created the right photo yet, with which I would be completely satisfied. I’m still trying to learn and experiment. But maybe the following photos are coming close to:

What equipment and/or techniques do you use?

It is not a matter of brands/lenses, it is mostly about analog/digital, preferred light (natural/flash), how much post-production, etc.

Digital camera Canon EOS 6D Mark II with different lenses and I prefer natural light

How and why your work as changed since you started?

My work changed with the start of photography school. I think I learned to think more about photography and practice the “Eye”.

What do you think about the fact that nowadays photography is mostly enjoyed on the Internet?

I think the internet is great for finding inspiration, following the practices of other photographers, finding new practices in post processing, etc., but nevertheless a printed form of photography is the best pleasure...

Why did you decide to join the nudeartzine project?

I was absolutely thrilled that my work was noticed by an excellent nude photographer - and this feeling of mine continues.... so I would like to thank the author of this project for a really great job for the rest of us.

Would you have an insight or advice to give to whomever is watching your work and wants to learn photography?

I think it’s important to keep trying new things.

What are your plans in the future?

Improve my work - specially to get a more dramatic atmosphere and story in my photos.

On what page our readers can find more of your work?

https://flickr.com/photos/158582151@N04/

Would you like to add something else?

Have a great light and thank you very much for your hard work for all of us, dear nudeartzine team.
