Where are you born and when?
Genova, 1979
Where do you live?
I live in Cogoleto, a small seaside town near Genoa, Italy
When and how do you start your path in photography?
I started photographing in the early 2000s and after a while I started experimenting in the darkroom. I needed a matter that would open my vision: I found it in the film
Who were the three photographers that inspired you at the beginning and who are the three ones that inspire you now?
Please add links to the pages where the images are shown.
Anyone who can expand visual horizons. I’m talking about photographers like Niepce, Bragaglia, Man Ray, Moholy-Nagy, Paolo Gioli ... the list would be really long
Did you go to a school or are you a self-taught?
I’m self-taught by attitude.
Do you make photography as a living?
I make photography to live better
What do you like in photography, what is your motivation?
The possibility of seeing what is invisible to the eyes.
What do you want to express or arouse in those who watch your images?
I would like to stimulate a reflection on the perception of reality, giving the possibility to escape, through photography, from the common concept of time and space. With my nudes I try to desobjectify the body considering it light matter that releases energies and drives.
What are your preferred moment(s) in the creation process?
Every moment of the process is essential.... aesthetics is the process, the ’how’: the least important thing of all is always the result. Shooting, development and printing are three different stages of a single experience.
What are your three most representative images, and why?

I think these photos reveal well some directions of my photographic research.
What equipment and/or techniques do you use?
It is not a matter of brands/lenses, it is mostly about analog/digital, preferred light (natural/flash), how much post-production, etc.
I make photography exclusively on film, not digital. I mainly use Nikon F series cameras but I also use old cameras. I like to experiment with pinhole photography and, generally, play in darkroom.
How and why your work as changed since you started?
Photography, like all forms of art, is an erotic encounter between the artist and matter: it is always in constant (e)motion and changes every time
What do you think about the fact that nowadays photography is mostly enjoyed on the Internet?
It’s a good thing but we don’t have to lose contact with physicality, tangibility and sensoriality
Why did you decide to join the nudeartzine project?
Because I was struck by the idea, attitude and professionality And then because I think that a photo, to exist completely, must be printed.
Would you have an insight or advice to give to whomever is watching your work and wants to learn photography?
I would advise to make as many mistakes as possible and to remain fascinated by these until considering them possibilities. To always consider that photography should not replace neither eyes nor painting. To think of every picture as a unique experience.
What are your plans in the future?
I am a plan of the future, I can only follow the movement.
On what page our readers can find more of your work?

Would you like to add something else?
All the models without which many photos would never have existed. Sunt lumina, all is light.
